Don't Hang Up Your Harps
Jun 30, 2024 • Pastor Tre Williams
Psalm 137:1-6 chronicles the sorrow of the Israelites in exile, who weep by the rivers of Babylon and refuse to sing their songs of Zion. Literally hanging their harps in the willow trees at the bank of the river they vow never to forget Jerusalem, pledging it will always remain their highest joy despite their suffering. Praising God needs to be the cry of our hearts. In the good times: PRAISE HIM! In the bad times: PRAISE HIM! For our praises are not for us, but for our Heavenly Father who deserves them because he is GOOD!
