The Dilution of the Gospel

The gospel must remain full strength. Paul reminds the Colossians that before Christ we were alienated, hostile, and trapped in sin, but through the physical death of Jesus we have been fully reconciled to God. When anything is added to Christ, the gospel becomes diluted and our confidence begins to shift. Our hope rests in Jesus alone, His finished work, and the promise that those who are in Christ remain stable and steadfast in Him.
